I am an active member of my church and the Lead for the church safety team.
With the world in the condition it is in, I feel everyone should be trained and it should be quality training. Building the team and structure from non-firearm related members to those team members designated to carry concealed in order to address the most harshest adversaries. There is so much more to it than just a bunch of members carrying a gun. The likelihood of ever being in a Active Shooter Event is very slim, compared to that of having a medical emergency would be. Our first priority is to be vigilant. Being vigilant requires us to look at the big picture and to understand how all the pieces fit in the puzzle of life. Same applies with the Church. As a Body of Christ we need to be warm and inviting to those around us. For it is our mission to be part of the Great Commission and to bring the lost to Christ. We can still do that while protecting our flock as well.
By scheduling a consultation with me, we will conduct a walk through of your Church and look at several options and safety items. Together we will develop the best plan of action for your Church. I understand the need to be proactive in the protection of those around us. Some fail to see the need for these precautions but are grateful if ever needed.
